How to be Stylish On a Budget!

With today’s economy, where prices of everything keep going one way <<UP>>, the female predicament is how to stay fashionable on a budget. This can be accomplished easily by trying out fashion tips that allow you show your fashion sense but still keep you within a budget. Believe it or not, you don’t need to spend a fortune to be fashionable; you can do this even with a very limited budget.
The cheapest way to look fashionable is to wear matching accessories with your outfits to give an instant different look. Accessories like earrings, beaded necklaces and bracelets are easily available at cheap prices. Buy accessories that can go with multiple colour dresses.

Get fashion magazines see what's in fashion now. Make a list of the details in the original and then go to regular shops (not brands) and pick some clothes that match your finds. But first check what you already have in your wardrobe. Make sure that you can wear every item on that list with at least 3 other garments in your wardrobe to achieve new looks. This will ensure maximum price per wear for every item you buy.

When you enter a shop, look around. Identify your budget and a list of what you actually need before hitting the shops. DO NOT go shopping without a list as you can easily lose focus and convince yourself that you something that you don't.

Do not get fake knock off designer brands as it shows that they are fake<< better to wear a NO NAME BRAND>> than be spotted with a fake brand, all this does is cheapen your image.

Plain neutral coloured shirts, a good pair of flattering jeans, simple knee-length skirts, simple jackets and a good quality handbag are examples of wardrobe staples that will never go out of style. The idea should be to build up your wardrobe by spending more on great staples that will last and use cheaper shops for this seasons fashion updates.

Cheap clothing shops have a place in every woman's wardrobe. However, it should not consume the entire wardrobe! Cheap clothing shops are great for updating your look quickly and cheaply. However in order to remain looking chic, they need to be mixed and matched with quality items. Because the cheap clothes often lack quality, this means they won't look great after been worn a few times.

Women who look after their clothes always look more stylish and groomed. Look after your clothes by reading and following the washing labels. That’s kinda the reason they stick them on. Iron and hang garments up properly. Everything should be ready to wear that's hanging in your wardrobe. All your clothes will remain looking new for so much longer and look more expensive.

Go through your wardrobe and check each item. Could it be updated with a little sewing? <<DO THIS ONLY IF YOU HAVE A CREATIVE DESIGNER SIDE TO YOU>> check if it need shortening or straightening? Does it need new buttons or ribbon? Add some embellishments to bring it up to date? Repair those broken stitches and fallen hems.

Organize your friends and have a clothes swapping party. Get your friends and all their friends to bring along the clothes they don't wear, no longer fit or don't know why they bought and have a rummage! Add shoes, handbags and a few accessories plus a few bottles of wine and enjoy a girl's night in together.

Selecting the Perfect Petite Dress

Most women dream of being able to choose the right dress easily and quickly, but the fact is that it can be a headache to pick among the many petite dresses available (we are very indecisive). There are a number of things to consider when selecting the perfect dress no matter the occasion, garden parties, picnics evening cocktail parties or a night out on the town with the girls, but with some effort this task cam be accomplished very easily..

On this note, the first thing that you should check on is the colour of the dress which you have your eye on. The colour among various petite evening dresses that you look at should flatter and match the tone of your skin; you wouldn’t want to be seen in a bright orange or yellow dress when you have really olive skin colour because this only enhances your skin colour. What you want to do is find a colour that is subtle and simple... (Elegance and simplicity is always key).. If you have light coloured skin, avoid a petite dress in shades of orange and red. The only thing that those colours would achieve is making you look a little bit weird, the worst of it is that you wouldn’t even know something went wrong when you look in the mirror.

To add to the colour the dresses design and style are also other important factors to consider when picking out a dress. When you choose a dress, it is vital that you pick one that fits your body shape nicely. The worst thing to can do to you is pick a dress that will not flatter your figure or shape. For women that are bootyful picking a dress that isn’t too tight on your body will be a preferred option.  Ladies who are petite in size look nice in A-line type evening dresses and should stay away from the bell shaped ball gowns. These are now considered old fashioned and tend to sallow your figure, so be aware of this.

Choose dresses that have thin or no straps at all, especially if you are larger at the bottom portion of the body or you may want to go with a dress that has a draping bustle, to bring attention to your upper body instead. On this note, there are many who have issues in the stomach area and if this is your case, then you should think about getting a dress that has an empire-like waist or one of corset style.  For those who are less than happy about their arms, they should stay away from strapless, as well as sleeveless dresses and instead go for sleeves that are short or laced and see-through types.

All women would agree that the most important thing about dresses is how comfortable they are when worn. With this said, keep in mind that even the best looking dresses do not bring comfort, so if and when you try a dress on, see to it that you walk and move around before making a sound choice. There are plenty of dresses that will meet your needs as well as the theme of whatever occasion you plan on attending. So ladies lets go out there this summer and pick the right dresses to fit both our bodies and the occasion.

TRENDY CLOTHING

Trendy clothing is a dynamic concept as it is ever changing. Fashion is never in the same position for extended periods of time, it changes every year, every month if not every other week. It’s difficult keeping up with the latest fashion trends, because by the time I have both the money and time to head out on a day of aimless moving from one shop to the next the trends I saw and liked the previous week are nothing but an outdated trend. Fashion designers are constantly designing as well as recycling old fashion trends from the 60’s and 70’s with a more sophisticated and modern feel to keep up with the ever so changing fashion demands and to create a niche for themselves.

Young men <<yes men>> are now more than ever paying much attention to what they wear and if their style is up to date ( they might even be spending more time in malls than women) because they love trendy clothes and the latest designs. To me it seems that these trendy clothes are looked at as an expression of glamour which lure the young at heart. Like other products to popularise clothes all you’ll need is either a famous actor or musician to wear them and you have a hoard of young and older people following the exact trend.

The concept of trendy clothing has evolved over the years. Not many years ago trendy clothing were worn to attract attention. In the present generation trendy clothes are used as distinctive fashion statements by both men and women. From the latest dresses, shoes, slippers, jewellery and even lingerie.Trend setters in fashion always keep themselves updated on the latest designs by browsing through fashion websites, watching television channels, and reading fashion magazines. They are very particular about their appearance and look out for the correct combination and permutations of dresses, accessories, and footwear. Needless to say, young men and women constitute the predominant section of trend setters.

Trendy clothes are usually worn in the summer months as these are light. Low waist jeans, relaxed cut jeans, loose fit jeans, and book cut jeans are some of the trendy clothes for both men and ladies. Trendy t-shirts, sweaters, and jackets are other variations of trendy styling. Even young boys and girls could become a part of the trendy fashion brigade. So, it is high time to join the style extravaganza.

It might come as a shock to some of you Anorexic and bulimic readers <<lol>> :))that trendy clothes do come in plus sizes, its remarkable how women nowadays care less about how big they are and are more than willing to express their fashion sense and, yes you said it pull it off..  Really hope you loved the blog..

Definition of Fashion.

Fashion has different meaning to different people across the world, from east to west every culture and race defines fashion differently. To me fashion it means expression of myself and how i project that expression to the outside world. Growing up in a conservative household it was difficult trying to have your own sense of style as what was bought my parents no matter how hideous and unflattering it might have been was what you had to go parading yourself in, because to them we had to be dressed in an acceptable manner, a manner in which would not give reason for the neighbors to talk about. This meant no self expression was allowed or a case of indifference was permitted.

Moving away from my country of birth a few years before i hit my teen years was the best thing that happened to me with regard to the fashion exposure that i was yet to experience. Being in a country that had its own way of doing things (shall i say a more liberated people) was a new eye opening experience. People were individuals, with their own sense of style own sense of fashion. They dressed up not because they were told to but because they were expressive of who they were.

Before i knew it in this new different environment i was in expressing my fashion sense was easy and before long my parents too were in support of some of the fashion decisions i made. I was now an individual able to self express myself through my fashion sense being mindful of not having fashion dictated to me by the media.

The dictionary definition of what fashion is for those unsure of its meaning is:
The prevailing style or custom, as in dress or behavior: out of fashion.
Something, such as a garment, that is in the current mode: a swimsuit that is the latest fashion.
The style characteristic of the social elite: a man of fashion.

To some individuals fashion is considered an art form to others a religion. They live for fashion, live to be the best dressed, live to be different from the norm.

For most people it is a method of utilizing clothing, accessories and hair to either show or hide something about oneself.  Expression of fashion can serve as an extension of ones personality: goth, skater, soccer mom and so forth.
Through fashion one can disguise ones true self: a conservative such as my self for example in vamp dark clothing for the sake of rebellion to my parents.

Fashion statements can also be made not only through clothing, shoes, hair, makeup but also other accessories such as cellphones or cars.

This is basically a sum up of what fashion is to me... :)
